When a logo needs turning
Any angle, one degree at a time
A logo photographed off a sign or a business card is usually out by a few degrees, not ninety. The slider covers the full circle in single steps so you can fix a small tilt as easily as turning something on its side.
Nothing is clipped
The canvas expands to hold the rotated mark and the new corners are transparent, so a logo that already ran close to the edge does not lose a corner.
Off-axis rotation costs a little sharpness
Any angle that is not a multiple of ninety resamples the pixels and softens edges very slightly. Ninety, one hundred and eighty, and two hundred and seventy are free. Settle on the angle in one move rather than nudging repeatedly.
Transparency survives
A transparent logo stays transparent, and the space created by the rotation is transparent too, so the file drops cleanly onto any background.
Straighten before anything else
Correct the angle first, then crop and pad. Cropping first means the rotation introduces transparent wedges inside the frame you already chose, and you have to crop twice.
