Trimming a logo out of a larger file
One slider per edge
Each side is trimmed by a percentage of the original dimension, so you can take five percent off the left without touching the top. It is more precise than dragging a box when what you want is to remove a specific margin.
Cropping is lossless
Nothing is resampled. The pixels that remain are the exact pixels you started with, at their original quality, so cropping costs nothing in sharpness — unlike resizing.
Crop before you pad
A logo exported from a design tool often carries an inconsistent margin. Trim it to the mark first, then add clear space deliberately. Doing it the other way round means padding an uneven starting point and the result is never centred.
Transparency is preserved
Alpha survives the crop untouched, so a transparent logo stays transparent and keeps its exact edges.
What it cannot do
This trims from the outside in. It cannot cut a shape out of the middle, and it cannot detect where your mark ends automatically — you decide each edge by eye against the live preview.
