Why use this edit tool
Trim from any side
Set independent left, top, right, and bottom insets as a percentage of the image, so you can shave a single edge or tighten all four at once. Because each side is separate, you can recompose an off-center subject without touching the sides you want to keep.
Non-destructive preview
Every change re-renders the result live next to the original, so you can dial in the crop before you commit to a download. Nothing is written until you export, which means you can nudge the sliders as many times as you like with no loss.
Transparency preserved
Cropping keeps the alpha channel, so a transparent logo stays transparent after you trim it. The remaining pixels are copied exactly as they were, with no matte or background color painted in behind them.
How the crop works
The tool reads your percentage insets, calculates the pixel rectangle that survives, and redraws only that region onto a new canvas. It all runs in your browser on that canvas, so the crop is instant and your file never gets uploaded anywhere.
Crop vs resize
Crop removes pixels from the edges and never rescales the rest, so quality is untouched. Resize keeps all the content but changes its pixel dimensions. To hit an exact size, crop away what you do not want, then finish with the Resize tool.
