What a scanned seal actually looks like to software
Ink that sits far from paper
Most seals are stamped in saturated red or blue. That is good news: the ink is a long way from white in colour terms, so a lower tolerance than a pencil signature needs will separate them cleanly. Thirty is a sensible starting point.
Reading the tolerance
Matching happens in Lab colour space, which measures difference the way the eye does rather than by raw RGB distance. Raise the slider until the paper is gone. On a red seal you can usually go further than you expect before the ink starts to erode, because red and white are so far apart.
Stamps land on top of other things
A seal is usually applied over printed text or a signature, and those are not the paper colour, so they survive the cut. If your scan has text under the stamp, crop tightly first or accept that the text comes with it.
Uneven ink is normal
Rubber stamps never print evenly. Pressure varies, ink pools at the edges of the die and thins in the middle, and a genuine impression has gaps. Do not raise tolerance chasing a perfectly solid shape — the unevenness is what makes it look real rather than drawn.
The output is PNG
Transparency needs an alpha channel and JPG has none. Saving the result as JPG afterwards would put the white rectangle straight back, which is the thing you removed.
How to transparent stamp maker
Upload the stamp
Drop in a scan or photo. A stamp on clean white paper with nothing printed underneath cuts out best.
Clear the paper
The paper colour defaults to white. Raise the tolerance until only the ink is left on the checkerboard.

Where a transparent stamp is needed
Approving documents
Place a company seal on a PDF without a white block covering the text beneath it.
Company chops and seals
Digitise an official seal so it can be applied to files rather than printed pages.
Certificates
Add an authorising seal over a designed background that stays visible.
Invoices and shipping papers
Mark documents as paid or approved without rescanning each one.

The jobs the editor was built around — and what it does differently on each one.
Colourways you can revisit
Every edit is a layer, not a bake. When the brand shifts, reopen the file and change the colour rather than rebuilding the variant from the original.
Cutouts with awkward edges
AI background removal that keeps hair, foliage and soft shadows instead of stamping a hard outline around them. The output is a transparent PNG, ready to place.
No export, edit, re-import loop
The Framer plugin runs on the canvas you are already working in, so a recolour or a cutout does not mean a round trip through a second application.
Ten options in the time one used to take
Recolour once and step through the alternatives, so a client review can look at the whole range instead of the one version there was time to make.
Brand colours matched exactly
Pick a colour straight off an existing asset and get the hex, rather than eyeballing it against a screenshot and hoping it is close enough.
Free to preview, priced per export
Previewing is unlimited and costs nothing. A credit is spent only when you download a full-resolution file, so exploring an idea is never the expensive part.
