High-quality resampling to exact pixel dimensions.
Why use this edit tool
Pixel-exact control
Type the exact width, and optionally the height, that you need. Leave one field blank and the aspect ratio locks automatically, so nothing gets squashed unless you deliberately ask it to. This is the fastest way to hit a strict upload spec down to the pixel.
High-quality scaling
Resampling uses high-quality smoothing, so shrinking a large photo stays crisp and enlarging stays as clean as the source allows. The canvas interpolates neighboring pixels rather than dropping them, which keeps edges smooth instead of jagged when you scale down a detailed image.
Stretch or contain
Choose stretch to hit exact dimensions even if the shape changes, or contain to fit inside a box without distortion. Contain is ideal when a platform demands a maximum size but you still want the original proportions preserved intact.
How resizing works
Your image is drawn onto a fresh canvas at the target size, and every output pixel is computed from the source pixels around it. Because it happens in your browser on that canvas, the file never leaves your device and the preview is immediate.
Resize vs crop
Resize changes how many pixels the whole image spans while keeping all of the content. Crop instead removes content from the edges. If you need a specific pixel box and want to keep everything visible, resize is the right tool; to cut away borders, crop first.
How to resize an image
Upload your image
Drop in a PNG, JPG, WebP, or SVG, or click to browse and pick a file from your device.
Set the dimensions
Enter a width, and a height if you need an exact box. Choose stretch to force the size or contain to keep proportions.
Preview and download
Check the resized result against the original, then download the full-resolution file with one credit on a free account.
